Actron CP9449 BrakeScan NICE PRODUCT.
This was a no brainer since all my cars were on the product application list(make sure you check the list before buying to make sure it will work with your car!). I received the product 2 days ago and it worked as expected. It diagnosed the problem to my LF Front wheel bearing, allowing me to replace only what needed replacing instead of cross my fingers and hope I replaced the right part! Easy to use display and functions. Comes with everything you need, except a 9v battery and it seems to be built well. It even comes with a nice case and English/Spanish operations manual.

Actron CP9449 BrakeScan 2000 Mustang GT Bosch unit failure.
Read a lot before purchase - that is I verified my vehicle covered. Plugged in.
Can't connect. Per the Ford shop manual (found online!) testing with volt/ohm-meter all results point to ABS controller. Plugged the CP9449 into my other Ford (F150) - worked fine. Sent Bosch ABS off to 'cheap-abs' and unit repaired, returned in 4 days. Installed and tested car. ABS works, Traction Control works, CP9449 found the original code "abs unit failed" - erased code and "Passed!" Drove car on wet (aka slick) road and tested brakes and traction control. Function now normal.
So, if the CP9449 doesn't read - just maybe you have a vehicle not covered OR the abs module is DECEASED. A little study goes a long way.
Side note for other ABS repairmen (or women!) The Yahoos who assembled the input brake lines overtorqued the hold downs. The hold downs actually expanded where they seat against the flare of the brake lines. Getting out somewhat damaged the threads in the aluminum hydraulic block. But after grinding down the expanded part of the screw/nuts - managed to get re-assembled and no leaks. There were enough threads left to hold. The four output brake lines only needed a wrench to loosen and final tighten when re-assembled. Note: video available to get out the Bosch ABS if you don't want to undo the brake lines. I change fluid every two years anyway so removed the whole unit. The issue with the input lines was only hassle.

for 65 bucks well worth the price to check abs sys . thought i needed abs unit like 500.00 for 2004 chevy astro well was just speed unit front left wheel very easy to yous . people get unit and dont up date it. hey read little and hook up to your pc and up date it.i got a actron for reg code reading 2 years ago . i trust there stuff

First I'd like to say, that this does erase codes if you go to Actron.com and download the software and drivers and update it. That was fairly painless. Also, click on the coverage guide in the product description to make sure it works on your model of vehicle. If you do those two things, you'll be happy. Great price for being able to read and erase your own ABS codes.

Followed directions to update the machine, plugged it into truck, turned key. It quickly gave me the code with a description on an easy-to-read screen. Turned out to be a $20 DIY fix. So for ~$100 I was able to fix the problem myself and now have a scanner for future use. Shop wanted $120 just to tell me what the light meant. Worth the money although I wished I had spent more and got the one that reads OBDII AND ABS.

Good product, worked as advertised. Found my ABS problem...it was the problem I suspected but Scan Tool confirmed it along with one other small problem....saved me approx. $75 in diagnostic charges at a shop. Also saved $$ buying the parts on my own without shop markup...worth the price as other tools are more $$$ but do the same thing.
